Marine Corps Air Stationl

Thursday we mounted a chartered bus for transport to the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) where we were able to go into an Osprey. The Osprey replaces the CH-47 Chinook helicopter used during the Vietnam War for troop transport. The Osprey has adjustable engines that allow it to take the form of a helicopter for landings and takeoffs. It can then tilt the engines so the propellers point forward, making it a plane that can fly higher, faster, and further than a helicopter. It has the same load capacity as the CH-47.
